My name is Dr. Evangeleen Faith and I was born in New York City. Like many people, I was raised by divorced parents, so my early years were a tale of two Manhattans—each a distinct chapter in the storybook of my life.

Picture this: every Friday, like clockwork, I embarked on a journey of dual identities. On one side, I dwelled in a modest, rent-controlled apartment with my lesbian mother on the Upper West Side, where affluence loomed large in the air around us. Yet, on alternate weeks, the scene shifted dramatically as I found myself in Spanish Harlem, living with my father and his bi-racial family, where the blending of black and white traditions was a key feature of my life.

My upbringing resulted in an early, innate grasp of privilege and disparity, painting a vivid picture of social strata and the spaces between them. My weekly journey from one neighborhood to the other was more than just a physical commute across Central Park; it was a passage through the very layers of society's fabric—a lesson in the fluidity of identity and the multifaceted nature of the human experience.

These aren’t just chapters of my childhood; they are the roots of a journey that led me to pursue a Ph.D. in Sociology, with a focus on population studies and the mechanics of socioeconomic and racial disparities in education and health. My childhood's dual narrative provided the groundwork for a vocation dedicated to exploring the depths of society’s divides and the potential for unity. For me, it's not merely about intellectual pursuit; it's about channeling my experiences into a force for good.

During the peak of my academic career, I was a scholar with an insatiable curiosity, a seeker of truths hidden in data. The most prestigious institution in the country became my intellectual playground, where I honed the craft of question and answer, mastering the intricacies of data collection and analysis.

The realization that the answers to life's deeper questions lay beyond academia, led me to my true calling: to help conscious businesses navigate the complex waters of human dynamics.
